Whistlepig Unveils its First "Non-Whiskey," the PiggyBack Devil's Slide

New England-based whiskey maker WhistlePig has announced the launch of its WhistlePig PiggyBack Devil’s Slide, a (mostly) non-alcoholic rye whiskey that has been aged for six years before being "undistilled" at the WhistlePig Farm & Distillery.

According to the company, the unconventional rye whiskey does contain between 0.5% to 1% ABV. However, this is not enough to deliver a substantial buzz, which is why WhistlePig is marketing the product to non-drinkers who would like to indulge in the taste and ritual of enjoying a premium whiskey.

In addition, the experts at WhsikeyPig have recommended a few creative mocktail recipes that are designed to best take advantage of the new buzz-free rye. For example, bar manager Grey Miller suggests trying his mocktail recipe called 'The Best Part of Wakin’ Up,' a new twist on the Irish Coffe that combines Devil's Slide with maple syrup and freshly ground java.
