Pharmactive Biotech Products recently launched CSAT+, a new product formulated with complex extract of the whole carob fruit, to help consumers manage their weight and help with metabolic syndrome. The new product is rich and fiber and polyphenol, and in a study of 36 mice conducted by the company, these ingredients were shown to control blood glucose, control appetites, reduce insulin resistance, and improve circulating levels of cholesterol and low-density lipoprotein/cholesterol. The study also showed the supplement of carob pod and seed extract was able to improve the lipid profile, exert cardioprotective effects, and increase metabolic and vascular insulin resistance in obese mice.
Pharmactive Biotech Products is currently working on a clinical study of CSAT+ and states that combating obesity could be vital in protecting consumers from COVID-19.
