This perforated metal facade gives off a crisp and minimalist aesthetic. Designed by French architect Jean-Paul Viguier, the project boasts three monolithic volumes. While two have been renovated by the professional, the third has been erected from scratch. The new facilities are to serve as functional units for the Banque de France.
The financial nature of the activities that are to be conducted in the buildings is of high importance and calls for a strong degree of privacy. Thus, Jean-Paul Viguier's perforated metal facades add a nice contemporary touch and render the structures a little bit more welcoming and sculptural than otherwise. Naturally, there is a strong interplay between light and shadow for the three volumes and the effects are constantly changing due to the moving sun.
