Chip-Covered Nut Snacks

Doritos' New Peanut Snacks Feature a Crunchy Chip-Based Coating

At the recent Sweets & Snacks Expo, Doritos unveiled a new peanut snack product that is not a cheese-flavored tortilla chip.

Doritos' 'Crunch Nuts' introduce an entirely new way to enjoy the flavors of the favorite snack product. The all-new snack product introduces whole peanuts that have been covered with a Dotiros-style coating, which will be offered in familiar chip flavors like Cool Ranch and Nacho Cheese.

Over the years, consumers have become familiar with the idea of enjoying Doritos chips in alternative formats. For example, Taco Bell makes many of its tacos available in a Doritos shell, while Burger King launched deep-fried, cheese filled Doritos Loaded snacks and it has also explored offering the tortilla chips as burger toppings.
