In order to increase its in-store promotions, DIY store chain Maxeda is swapping its traditional payment platform for a consumer-facing system with a screen. These small touchscreens will provide space for video content and marketing promotions. In addition to the screen that faces the customer, employees have their own dedicated screen. These systems are supplied to over 370 Maxeda stores by NCR and are the 15" NCR RealPOS XR7 PoS models.
As a pair, these two screens on this POS system are aimed at helping to speed up transactions and encourage upselling. Additionally, in line with its "scan and smile" strategy, this system is also set to make more time for face-to-face interaction with customers to ensure positive experiences at the Dutch DIY store chain.
