Paul Salveson's Award-Winning Book is Mind-Bendingly Awesome

Paul Salveson likes taking pictures of weird stuff. His new book of photography 'Between the Shell,' which will be released in the fall of 2013, is an amazing artistic amalgam of everyday household products including wheat, toothbrushes, brooms, glow sticks, paper cups, and mushroom caps. He manages to mix together the quirkiest combination of things in a way that does not make sense, but is inexplicably incredible. In fact, 'Between the Shell' recently received MACK's First Book Award. The book is a collection of confusing combinations he's been putting together for the past seven years.

The artist is now working on more conceptional creations such as sculptures made out of (what else) wheat. Salveson is also the new holder of a MFA degree from the University of Southern California, where he did his thesis on toothbrush design.
