While the name kind of gives the surprise away, the Original Filled Birthday Batter Doughnut is a delicious ring donut that's stuffed with a festive cake batter filling. But Krispy Kreme didn't stop with just the filling. The brand gave its new donut the whole birthday cake treatment by dipping the outside in strawberry icing, and topping the whole thing with party sprinkles. As Krispy Kreme's Chief Marketing Officer Dave Skena explains, "Krispy Kreme fans love to celebrate our birthday. They really make it their own party, which is good with us."
