The Oreo Separator Ad Campaign Continues with This Ingenious Design

Nabisco's ingenious Oreo separator campaign keeps chugging along with an incredible new machine designed to separate the cookie from the icing.

This time around, the machine is nothing quite so obtuse as using a hatchet to split the cookie like one of the previous designs. Instead, the designers at Dentaku have put in a little more subtlety in their version, but don't let that fool you, this is still an incredibly dangerous Oreo separator. The design involves mounting eight cookies onto a Ferris wheel device that has sharp blades popping out to first separate the top layer from the icing, and then a second blade cuts off the icing. Once all the Oreos are separated, the wheel reverses direction to knock the remaining cookies off the wheel.

Not only is this Oreo separator really clever, but it also gains insight into the scientific engineering process by showing the early unsuccessful attempts.
