Although the Ora Lamp looks to me like it was inspired by some kind of alien space ship, it was actually inspired by the classic and cool shape of the Bakelite Bell phone handset. Of course, the designer put a futuristic, sci-fi spin on this iconic telephone design to keep it modern.
That designer happens to be the one and only Santiago Sevillano. The last time Trend Hunter featured his work, he was inspired by natural and organic flames with his aptly titled Flame Lamp. This time, he has stepped away from the caveman aesthetic and gone for a sleeker, more sophisticated look with the Ora Lamp.
Made out of injected polycarbonate, the Ora Lamp's connecting components twist to easily direct light to desired locations.
