Mobile satellite communications service Inmarsat has annouced the launch of 'OneFi,' a new customer experience platform (CXP) designed for airlines. The innovative new solution presents airlines with a new way to monetize inflight connectivity by making a variety of services accessible via one user-friendly platform.
'OneFi' offers passengers a unique airline-branded platform that can be used to order food and drinks, purchase seat upgrades, receive flight information, sign-up for the airline rewards programs, and more. In addition, users will have full access to inflight broadband, allowing them to browse the internet, stream videos and music, shop online, and check out the airline's e-commerce offerings.
"OneFi is a step change for those looking to monetize their Wi-Fi services and ensure they keep pace with evolving passenger needs," said Philip Balaam, President of Inmarsat Aviation, in a recent press release.
