The Nymphea Chandelier is a dramatic light fixture that hangs from the ceiling in a most unusual manner. Turning the concept of traditional ceiling lights on its head, the Nymphea Chandelier reverses the visual perception for something that has to be looked down upon instead of up.
Created by French design firm Vaulot&Dyèvre for Paris-based Galerie Gosserez, the Nymphea Chandelier resembles a group of low-lying lily pads skimming the surface of the water. Instead of water, however, the Nymphea Chandelier skims the floor. Made out of hanging metal discs encircled with LEDs and hung from long wires draped beautifully at the ceiling, the light fixture can be modified to light up different areas of the room. A blend between design and art, the Nymphea Chandelier are beautiful to behold.
