Padlocked Pants

Protecting Indonesian Masseuses

To curb prostitution, the Indonesian Government has demanded masseuses padlock their pants in order to make it very clear to customers they wouldn't be offered any type of sexual services.

It may sound a little bit dumb and naive, but the idea actually caught on, so much so that one massage parlor in Batu on Java island required all their masseuses to shackle their pants.

Oddly enough, an Indonesian version of Playboy magazine protested this measure and, as a result, the editor of the publication was charged for violating the indecency law.
