Starbucks is the first coffee shop chain that is bringing nitro cold brews to the mainstream coffee market.
Prior to this release, nitro cold brews were usually sold only in selective artisan coffee shops, but Starbucks has decided to take on this niche. The drink will be made by infusing Starbucks cold brew coffee with nitrogen and the unique drink will come straight out of a tap. The point of infusing nitrogen with the coffee instead of CO2 is that it makes it thick, textured and creamy without having to add anything else -- a texture similar to some beers.
This new venture is an excellent way to tap into a market that has not previously been tapped into on a mainstream level, and the nitro cold brews are sure to be an excellent summer drink.
