Japan Teaches New Tricks to Old Dogs

Japan is opening the first nursing home for dogs. Priced at just $850 per month, the Soladi home provides the utmost care and service for your best friend. Aside from round-the-clock visits and doctor check ups, the nursing home employs puppies to help invigorate their aging clientele.

The facility will be located in the eastern Japanese city of Tochigi and will be able to house 20 dogs at a time. Soladi Co. and the Endo Veterinary clinic developed the home in order to accommodate the surge in Japan's elderly pet population.

The home is scheduled to open its doors Friday.
