Neri&Hu Converts a Warehouse to a Headquarter Location

Chinese architectural design studio Neri&Hu designs the new headquarters and retail store for pastry company Lao Ding Feng in Beijing, China. The studio took an old brick textile warehouse and transforms the space into a functional office and concept store. The ground floor opens up to a store, garden, cafe, and exhibition area as the first floor if an office space.

The studio talks about the project, stating "For projects like this, Neri&Hu's strategy always begins with a thorough investigation of what parts of the building at present may be kept and restored, while any new additions should not only respect the existing but also stand in contrast to it, so that a clear distinction may be drawn between old and new,"
