Nerhol has created the alphabet out of Japanese books and a crafty amount of carving skills.
The letters were made through shaving off certain layers and overlapping the paper over one another. Up close it's sometimes difficult to decipher the lettering, but once one takes a step back everything is much easier to see. The amount of time it must have taken to build something like this is baffling, since everything is so intricate and detailed. Clearly the artists working at Nerhol have a significant amount of focus and patience with their pieces, otherwise none of this would be possible.
