Virtual reality (VR) game developer and publisher Ndreams has announced the acquisition of the virtual reality developer 'Near Light,' a move which will allow the companies to "collaborate even more closely on medium-defining games". It is important to note that Near Light and NDreams have collaborated on numerous projects in the past, including games in the 'EyeToy Play,' 'SingStar,' and 'Guitar Hero' series, and the studio has recently developed an AR experience for a major toy brand.
It is currently working on an unannounced VR title for publication by Ndreams. The Brighton-based company will join Ndreams' three existing studios in Farnborough and extend the company's presence into the Brighton game development hub. The acquisition follows a $35m investment in Ndreams by the Aonic Group and signals the company's expansion plans.
