NBJ Architectes has recently renovated the GIPES Institute located in France, so that the interior of the place has hanging box structures for working. The old building was slightly dated in terms of spaces for the students to come together, so the architecture studio came up with a new space for collaboration.
The hanging boxes look quite futuristic, like floating pods in the middle of the atrium. However, having this area to come and study or collaborate is ideal, as it provides students with a change of scenery, which can ultimately help stimulate the brain for more creative endeavours. Various colors are also used inside the boxes, including bright yellows and greens for a fun aesthetic.
