Great amounts of detail in brand identity design has gone in and out of fashion, but consumers might be more consistently drawn to a minimalist look of their products. Naked Foods packaging is a concept by Horea Grindean of the UK, exploring the means to reduce text and image to enhance visual coherence.
This series of goods includes loose leaf teas, ground instant coffee, fruit juices and yogurt. For every item, the designer has chosen a small representational symbol that's actually quite well developed graphically. A little flower, a single coffee bean and a lone orange wedge are examples, complete with lovely color and realistic shading. Few words label Naked Foods packaging, but the consumer is concisely informed of the most important facts about the particular product.
