Paco Ramos searched far and wide for inspiration for his Madrid-based Mr. Frank restaurant; the establishment features influences from all over the world, including Belgium, Switzerland, Italy, the Carribbean and New York City, among other places.
Unable to confine himself to one aesthetic, the two-level restaurant features distinct designs on each floor. The top floor is a spacious, yet homey design feature wooden accents and mosaic tiles and lamps. Meanwhile the lower level is a rustic, cave-inspired design featuring vaulted, cylindrical ceilings, exposed brick, turquoise accents and soft lighting.
Ramos has succeeded in creating a cozy, intimate environment with plenty of ambiance, all the while paying attention to Mediterranean aesthetic and history.
