MOONTON Games, the developers behind Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, have partnered with Indonesian esports academy Garudaku Academy to launch the ‘Fostering The Legends’ initiative. This initiative will work to reduce the digital gap in rural communities in Indonesia, making technology accessible to all regions and individuals.
MOONTON and Garudaku stated that the collaboration would allow more individuals to capitalize on opportunities in the digital economy and provide opportunities for esports players in rural regions who are generally at a disadvantage when pursuing higher opportunities in esports and technology.
"[...] We will facilitate the academy’s esports training programme which includes a variety of programmes for students interested in entering the esports industry. Not just as an esports athlete, other opportunities include referees, casters, managers, even influencers or content creators," said Azwin Nugraha, Public Relations and Communications Manager at MOONTON Games Indonesia.
