These Lumene Moisturizer Jars are Easy to Recycle

These new Lumene moisturizer jars have been launched by the Certified B Corp as a packaging solution that maximizes sustainability and provides a greater senses of eco-friendliness. The packaging consists of 50ml jars crafted out of bio-based components and that have a monomaterial construction to enable them to be recycled in their entirety. The container is reported to have the same amount of moisturizer as before, but has 44% less packaging material along with a carbon footprint that's as much as 38% smaller compared to previous versions.

Head of R&D, Packaging and Sustainability Essi Arola spoke on the Lumene moisturizer jars saying, "Reducing the amount of packaging material is the most effective way to decrease the environmental impact of packaging. The 50 ml moisturizer jars are our most commonly used packaging format. Therefore, reducing the packaging material has a significant impact on the environment. The carbon footprint of the new jar, including its outer packaging, is 38 percent smaller compared to the previous bio-based jar we used."
