Satellite Architects have teamed up with Icons of Denmark to envision and construct a visionary modular facade installation that is designed to embrace cubical structural systems to make it possible to create structures that are versatile.
Designed to wrap around a screen consisting of trees and greenery, this modular facade installation measures 70 meters long and 7 meters high and comprises over 4,000 'GRID' modules, and is intended to be built around existing trees and bushes so that it complements them rather than overshadows them.
What's great about this modular facade installation is the fact that it proves that new design systems have a lot of potential when it comes to seamlessly binding artificial and natural elements such that they complement one another.
