A beautiful modern lakeside house is located just outside of Redmond, Washington. From the 1950s to the 1990s, the structure serves as a Boy Scout camp and architectural practice Stephenson Design Collective updated and converted the building to serve as a home for a family with two young children.
The architecture firm drew inspiration from the design from the client's professional life. As the CCO of the popular video game Minecraft, Stephenson Design Collective "looked to the game's use of blocks." The resulting modern lakeside house, thus, has a stacked design, with a fully glazed exterior. Title the Treehouse Camp Residence, the home exudes both cheery playfulness, as well as a strong sense of sophistication.
