HSBC's Modern Fairy Tales Star Financially Independent Princesses

There are many outdated children's stories that have been rewritten into modern fairy tales to inspire and empower young generations, especially when it comes to defying stereotypical gender roles. HSBC recently launched its own take on fairy tales with 'Fairer Tales' which not only challenges gender stereotypes but also encourages kids to be financially smart and independent.

In Fairer Tales, Cinderella decides to open her own set of 'Glass Slipper Sports' shops, Sleeping Beauty wakes up to find that the money she put in the bank has grown significantly during her long slumber and Rapunzel cuts off her own hair and uses it to escape the tower she was locked in. She then buys the structure from the witch, renovates it and rents it out to her princess friends.

Fairer Tales will be shared across primary schools, introducing a fun way for adults to initiate conversations about money with young girls and boys.
