Boxy Beach Abodes

This Modern Beach Home Features a Second Floor Rooftop Deck

The Alloy Design Group designed this modern beach home located in the Alki neighborhood of Seattle, Washington.

The exterior is characterized by a sloping roof, and a facade of which the majority is made up of panels in brown and white. The door, painted bright green, provides a splash of color to offset the neutrals. Inside, guests can access a second-storey roof deck by walking across an interior bridge. This door, like the main entrance way, is also painted green.

The second floor also contains many of the social spaces of the house, including the kitchen, dining and living areas, all of which are arranged, in an open-concept manner, under a double-height space that includes a staircase and the aforementioned bridge.
