Audio Search
Mobile Lala Search Satifies Your Curiosity
A few years ago, I wasted no less than two hours online trying to figure out the name and title of OutKast's Hey Ya. I certainly could have used the latest trend from the Korean celluar industry: LaLa. Now many of my trendhunting colleages are familiar with a past version of this tool called MusicID. In the old version, one would simply record a sample of the song you wished to identify, and MusicID would work its digital magic and return the name of the song after comparing the recording to its database. The latest incarnation allows you to hum a few bars of your song into your phone and it will seach based on that. It even gives you a humming score so you can decide whether or not to try out the next time World Idol is in town.
