Dollhouse design company Minimii has released its long-anticipated new creation -- a brand new dollhouse entitled Miiboxen, based off Danish architect and designer Arne Jacobsen's 1929 home.
Developed over the course of the last two years, the Miiboxen is an exact replica of the Arne Jacobsen home in Charlottenlund scaled at 1:16. The Arne Jacobsen house in Charlottenlund was the first house that Jacobsen designed to feature the functional, modern style that he became renowned for.
The idea to recreate the Arne Jacobsen home for the Miiboxen came to designer Linda Sternbergh a few years ago when she began looking for a dollhouse for her two daughters and was disappointed at the selection. To remedy the situation, she decided to build one of her own that would represent Danish architecture and originality.
The Miiboxen dollhouse is on sale now.
