California-based artist Grace Poulsen designed this collection of vibrant and colorful memo books. The eight books’ cover designs and patterns are inspired by eight key values of the Mormon faith applicable to young women, namely faith, divine nature, individual worth, knowledge, accountability, good works, integrity and virtue.
Poulsen hopes that the memo books will be used and enjoyed by people of all ages, genders and religious persuasions, despite the blatant featuring of the one religion.
The designs feature intricate and beautiful patterns crafted using Chartpak markers and white pencils and design techniques Poulsen picked up from her time at the Fashion Institute of Technology. Each of the eight books features a unique prominent color. The range of colors include white, blue, dark red, green, orange, yellow, purple and gold.
