Plastic-Wrapped Offices

Membrane in Stratum by Kotaro Horiuchi Architecture is Relaxing

The Membrane in Stratum is an installation made for Dexter. Plastic sheets have been draped along almost every surface of the bright white workspace, creating a calming aesthetic. That is, until a person really starts to think about Dexter and why he uses so many similar materials. Of course, no blood will be splattered in these rooms.

Created by Kotaro Horiuchi Architecture, the Membrane in Stratum installation is located in Nagoya, Japan. A unique office, to say the least, the use of such plastic helps to regulate depth and boundaries in a way that creates a dynamic space to work in. It also promotes relaxation as people roam from one flexible room to the next while sectioning off different zones for various uses.
