Medicom Toy Bears are the most simplistic world-renowned toy on the market. Though they are simple, they come with a heavy price-tag around $585. The luxury company teams up with numerous designers and constantly releases limited-edition bears. This time around, the toy company has teamed up with Japanese wooden furniture manufacturer Karimoku.
The bears are handmade out of wood by skilled craftsmen. They have previously released a collection of wood bears with the furniture makers, but this time they added a special indigo dye in the mix. The dye is applied to the bears with an ancient method by using Indigo Paint 400% BE@RBRICK. The dye starts off as green but turns into a deep dark blue when exposed to air. It also resembles vintage denim when painted in layers, which makes for a unique appeal.
