Nivea-Maker Beiersdorf Changes Production to Fight COVID-19

Due to the outbreak of COVID-19, there has been a shortage of cleaning products as individuals stock up in panic. To help meet demand, German consumer goods firm, Beiersdorf, has begun serial production of medical-grade disinfectants.

The brand usually makes skincare products for its subsidiaries including Nivea, Eucerin, and La Prairie but is shifting production, with plans to provide 500 tons of medical hand sanitizers to clinics, hospitals, medical and nursing staff, and other public services.
