Recently, Subway partnered with MasterCard, and revealed that it'd be making its ordering process even more convenient for consumers by allowing them to build their sandwiches through a chatbot on Facebook Messenger, and pay with Mastercard's Masterpass.
When consumers use the 'Subway Order Bot' through Facebook Messenger, they're greeted with a series of automated messages that help them to find the location that's closest to them. Once the location is found, consumers are sent directions to it on a map. If they wish to go somewhere else, they can easily choose another option as well.
Afterwards, the bot offers up nutritional information and sends a series of messages that allow consumers to choose different options for their sandwiches. Once the order is ready to go, they're sent to Mastercard's Masterpass page, which allows them to complete the order by paying with their credit card.
