To promote the release of the new Marvel character Funko Pops, Marvel and Funko teamed up to create a series of animated shorts that depict the iconic superheros facing off against one another.
The Marvel and Funko series consists of three short films that premiered last fall. In each of the films, popular Marvel character such as Iron Man, Deadpool and Spider-Man are seen in Funko Pop form. In the first short titled 'Spellbound,' Spider-Man and Iron Man have teamed up to fight off Loki in an exhilarating animated battle. The second short is titled 'Bait N Switch' and focuses on Rocket saving Groot from the Collector. Finally, the last short is called 'Chimichangas' and it follow a battle between Deadpool and Venom.
The animated shorts demonstrate one of the ways that Funko has made its collectible figurines come alive.
