Makeboluo is the name of a new Asian-inspired pizzeria from the founder of Fóumami, the slow-fast Asian sandwich bar. Just as family recipes and traditional flavors from China, Japan and Korea inform the signature dishes at Fóumami, Makeboluo (pronounced "Mah-Kah-Bow-Low") uses scallion pancakes as the crust for its Asian-inspired pizzas.
The Signature Scallion Pancake Pizzas can be ordered in varieties like Tokyo Hambagu, Chicken Katsu and Kurobuta, which are stacked with unique, Asian-inspired toppings like sambal, homemade sesame-soy pork sausage, peanuts, and water chestnuts and broccolini. At the Asian-inspired pizzeria, there's also classic pepperoni and cheese pizzas made with the uniwue scallion pancake crust.
Initially, Makeboluo will be available for delivery-only orders via Fóumami's Financial District location.
