Macfarlanes is announcing plans to launch HarveyAI, a new generative artificial intelligence tool intended to assist individuals working in the legal field. HarveyAI utilizes natural language processing, machine learning, and data analytics to assist with things like contract analysis, due diligence, litigation, and regulatory compliance. HarveyAI is being tested at other companies such as Reed Smith, Addleshaw Goddard, Osborne Clark, and Ashurst.
"Macfarlanes has been an invaluable collaborator in testing and refining our platform, and we look forward to working with them to unlock new possibilities and opportunities for their clients and lawyers," said Winston Weinburg, Harvey co-founder and president.
HarveyAI was previously tested through a summer pilot program backed by 70 fee earners and knowledge lawyers from the Macfarlanes team.
