The Macabre Spirits Tequila has been created under actor and scream king Matthew Lillard's Find Familiar Spirits company, which was launched in October 2023 with Blue Run Spirits Co-Founder Tim Sparapani and screenwriter Justin Ware.
The tequila is a small-batch reposado from Jalisco that boasts cooked agave, caramelized sugars, caramel, smoke and white pepper on the nose, while revealing agave, minerality, black pepper and burnt sugar on the palate. The spirit will come in a bespoke box alongside an original book entitled Rare, Fine & Limited penned by Mike Flanagan with cover art designed by oil painter Mia Bergeron.
Lillard himself spoke on the Macabre Spirits Tequila saying, "As horror fans, we’re an eclectic tribe, but we all share a passion for stories that come from this wild, deep part of our imaginations. Macabre Spirits brings together two of my favourite things on the planet: wicked horror stories and delicious Tequila."
