Iris van Herpen, one of the leaders in 3D-printed fashion, recently launched her Spring 2018 couture collection called 'Ludi Naturae.'
Although many of the designer's previous collections have drawn inspiration from the natural world, with this one, Iris van Herpen describes that "I zoomed out and looked at the earth from above." This look at nature from a bird’s-eye view resulted in a variety of dresses and jumpsuits that combine both 3D printing and free-flowing textiles.
Unlike many 3D-printed garments that sit unnaturally on the body, the pieces from the Ludi Naturae collection are designed to fit the body beautifully, often leaving one to question where the body ends and the lines of the clothing begin.
