The Live Lamp is a lamp that has actual plants attached to its exterior. The Live Lamp glows, and according to the designers contains 80 live Fuschii v Gravillis Tillandsia air plants mounted to a blown glass orb.
The CFL glow comes from the interior of the lamp and creates an interesting light, as the plants filter it slightly. The plants need only UV light, air and the moisture that comes from the humidity in the air to survive -- no soil needed here. This Live Lamp is great for naturalists, and would certainly attract attention from guests.
