On August 13th, 2022, Ontario-based Hereward Farms is hosting a robust lavender farm festival for the community and visitors. The family-run estate is located in East Garafraxa which is just over an hour outside of Toronto.
This year marks the first iteration of the annual lavender farm festival. While there is no cost for visiting the festival and the beautiful lavender crops, Hereward Farms encourages those who come to donate money to the Alzheimers Society of Dufferin County.
The lavender farm festival will include goods from local artisans, food vendors, entertainment, and on-display vintage cars. Individuals can opt-in to pick their own lavender—which comes at an additional cost and is based on availability—or they may choose to partake in the 'Nibbles + Sips' experience where one gets to picnic in the fields.
