Rebranded Chicken Colonels

A New KFC Colonel Starred in a Series of Short Ads

The lovable KFC Colonel Sanders has been rebranded by the company as it's chosen a new actor to represent the best in fried chicken for a number of short and summery commercials.

Golden Globe-winning actor George Hamilton represents a new breed of the mascot, helping to market the brand's specifically crispy chicken products. The 15 second commercials show the KFC Colonel relaxing on the beach in his iconic white suit and introducing himself as the "Extra Crispy Colonel." He explains the differences that the company makes to the original recipe -- using a double-breaded technique to get the perfectly crunchy texture as well as the $5 fill-up deals that coincide with it.

A total of four ads that show the new KFC Colonel on the beach were released, all of which were done in collaboration with Wieden+Kennedy.
