Rice is a staple in Asia and with KFC thriving in Japan, the brand is bringing together a fusion of East-meets-West foods with the new Kentucky Fried Chicken Rice Bowl.
As addition to the rice and crispy fried chicken that's advertised in the very name of the dish, other things diners can expect to find in the bowl include shiitake mushrooms, sweet potatoes, green shishito peppers, topped with a sweet and spicy sauce. Some of those who have tried it claim that it's like "A cross between a bucket of KFC and a bowl of mixed tempura."
Although the rare KFC Rice Bowl was previously only offered at just a few sports arenas, now the dish is expanding to other KFC locations in Japan.
