Lululemon recently debuted a new collection that is designed to keep runners safe when it is dark out. While the brand may have built its reputation on selling performance yoga pants, now it is proving that it is a go-to choice for a wide range of activewear.
The new Lululemon x NYC Labs line is four-piece collection that will be available online and at Lululemon's flagship stores in NYC and Vancouver. The collection consists of a sports bra, shorts, a shirt and pants, all of which are made with a highly reflective material. The material is meant to keep runners safe by making them visible to drivers, cyclists and other pedestrians when running at night or early in the morning. As the brand's brand's Director of Future Textiles Pascale Gueracague explains, "This was about synthesizing something super functional, but also really beautiful into a single expression."
