KASIA ORWAT has turned this quaint apartment in Poland into a chic, yet quaint dwelling. The space is quite small, but by using a purely monochromatic design aesthetic, everything opens up nicely.
Moreover, KASIA ORWAT designates the black and white areas to serve different functions. The white space is for living, which includes the living room, dining room and bedrooms. Basically where people inhabit the space and interact with one another on a day to day basis. The black areas, however, are designated for storage areas and spots used purely for communication. Other than the monochromatic look, the designer also went with a shiny matte finish on the cupboard doors, giving the perfect finishing touches for the space.
