YAMODesign Studio have designed the Kale Café in Hangzhou, China.
This garden cafe features several tree lights scattered about it, which reflects the naturalistic theme and works to brighten the limited, low-ceilinged space. Along with the trees, the architects decided to decorate with mini-house structures, which work to create a simple, unfettered community space. The objective here was to create an atmosphere that makes the patrons feel as though they are reclining under the shade of a tree in a quaint, pastoral village.
You can't walk into the bright, cheerful Kale Cafe and not feel immediately and profusely welcomed. This is definitely the type of coffee house you can waste half a day in without even realizing it.
