Worldly photographs are always worth taking the time to sift through for the next best thing to actually being somewhere is experiencing them location through amazing photographs; an excellent resource for said experience is travel photography by Joel Tettamanti that is set in Qaqortoq, Greenland.
This shoot was inspired the the city's quiet and slightly sad attributes that presented an almost bittersweet happiness through its barren lands with colorful houses. Tettamanti used a variety of shots that encompassed this melancholy feel, especially seen through his long shots of the vibrant houses set against the flat snowy land. His close-up shots are of boxy objects that are vivid in color and this helps to continue the theme of the straight-edged houses that are in his other photographs. Culture is also shown in Joel Tettamanti's travel photography through a few long shots of the people in the city.
