Flamboyant Frenchman Jean-Charles Boisset has finally branched out of wine and has broken into the world of spirits with his JCB Spirits collection. The ultra-luxurious line currently features a caviar-infused vodka made from sturgeon from Southwest France as well as a a Périgord truffle-infused vodka. Each expression is distilled from a Pinot Noir and Chardonnay base with the grapes being grown in Burgundy’s Côte d’Or. The packaging of the JCB Spirits collection also reflects its luxury nature as each spirit is housed in elegant crystal decanters inspired by piece in Boisset’s 17th and 18th-century collection.
According to Boisset, the "JCB Spirits is the culmination of my dream of many years to create the ultimate elixir." Each expression in the collection is meant to celebrate the delicacies from the land and sea, and are an ideal presentation of what the earth has to offer. The caviar vodka is described as "elegant but not overpowering," while the truffle-infused vodka offers up "the perfect umami expression."
