'The Essence of Suntory Whisky' is the name of a new collection of Japanese whiskies from Suntory that includes a trio of experimental cask-strength whiskies with unique packaging.
The collection includes Yamazaki Peated Malt, which has been aged for 12 years and is noted to have an "influence of gentle smoke." The Chita Wine Cask Finish is a 16-year-old grain whisky that said to have sweet and sour notes from plum. The final Japanese whisky in the limited-edition collection is the Hakushu Rye Type, which boasts the highest ABV at 57%. As well as boasting distinctly unique flavor characteristics, each of the whiskies is bottled with an artistic label of its own.
The limited-edition Essence of Suntory Whisky collection is exclusively available in Japan via the online retailer Dekantā.
