Superplastic's upcoming JANKY art toys will offer up limited-edition designs by 16 world-famous artists. Launched in a partnership between Paul Budnitz and Huck Gee, this new line of collectible toys will be the first release for Superplastic and will feature eccentric designs on cutely designed monsters. Some of the artists given the opportunity to work on JANKY art toys include McBess, Camilla d’Errico, Pete Fowler, Dalek and many more. Each artists design will draw from their larger body of work and will present the toys as unique and one-of-a-kind items.
The JANKY art toys project is currently up for funding on Kickstarter, with pledge backers receiving at least three random JANKY's. At the maximum pledge amount, Superplastic will include one of just 10 exclusive toys handmade and four-feet-tall. The campaign also includes several challenges, such as posting drawings of JANKY's to social media.
