Isfjord whiskey is crafted in a very special way. The creators of this single-malt whiskey only use free-floating ice collected from a fjord to craft this fine spirit. Pure ice that is harvested from Greenland Cap Icebergs have been preserved for upwards of 180,000 years. Isfjord whiskey makers assert this protects the ice from pollution and keeps it pure. The ice is manually gathered in the fjord after it breaks off an iceberg and scatters through the ocean, eventually making its way to the fjord.
Isfjord Premium Arctic Single Malt No. 1 uses non-peated malt barley and is aged in Oloroso Sherry casks from Spain for eight to nine years. Isfjord Premium Arctic Single Malt No. 2 is made with lightly peated malt barley and aged in American oak casks.
